COMPUTING WORK EXPERIENCE ENCOUNTER:
Falcon Class went to Harlow to learn about work in programming microbits. They learnt about circuit boards and used these to create key ring lights:
The brief included the following: Students will be welcomed to Harlow Online Services by Ian, and will have a brief insight into the world of electronics, design, assembly and programming. Students will meet the small team behind the consultancy and production of circuit boards for their clients. They will see some electronics in action and complete an activity relating to the visit.

LEARNING ABOUT BEING A DOG WALKER- HANDS ON!
Following the completion of a detailed risk assessment, Maria Nikolova brought in her German Shepherd for students to have a hands on day working with a dog, including walking, training tips and care.






BEECHLANDS CARE HOME WORK EXPERIENCE
Once a week, three Upper School students spend an hour at Beechlands Care Home, providing refreshments, care and company for the residents.






COSTCO WHOLESALE WAREHOUSE WORK EXPERIENCE TRIP (CHINGFORD)
5 Upper School Students were invited to visit and CostCo in Chingford on the 3rd February 2026 with the following brief:
Costco call their shops Warehouses. They would like to invite students to visit their warehouses. This visit will take the format of a ‘talk and a tour’. This will give students a view of the retail aspect of a multinational company, and the various roles that exist in these locations. The departments that are based at a Costco warehouse include Optical, Majors, Hardlines, Produce, Bakery, Delicatessen, Butchery, Cafe, Receiving, Front- End, Administration. Students will get the chance to ask staff questions, and should do some research in advance of the visit [suggested questions are supplied]. This will help the school to achieve or maintain Gatsby benchmark 3 and 6.
